River of Life

Growing up in a very small town, we lived next to a pasture where a river actually started. It was a very small river as it meandered through the pasture. Surprisingly, the river made its way to the other side of town it had grown 8′ in width. It quickly joined other creeks and rivers eventually ending up in the Des Moines River which then pours into the Mississippi River.

Are we not just like that creek that goes on to become something far greater than itself? Think of those you meet each day. Take the opportunity to invest in them whether it be by offering them a smile, kind gesture, a praise, or by lending them a helping hand. Become the river that grows into something far greater than itself.

Invest in others. Make a lasting, positive difference.
