The famed escape artist, Harry Houdini, issued a challenge wherever he went, stating that he could unlock any jail cell in the country quickly and easily. He always kept this promise, except once… it appeared that he had met his match.
Houdini entered the jail cell with heavy metal doors closed behind him. He removed from his belt a concealed, strong and flexible piece of metal and went to work trying to unlock the jail cell. However, something went amiss.
He worked diligently and frantically for 2 hours while not being able to open the lock. Finally, he collapsed in frustration against the door he could not unlock. But when he fell against the door, it opened! The door had not been locked! In his mind, the door was locked and that was all it took to keep him from opening the door and walking out of the jail cell.
David Baum wrote, It is all in the way you look at it… What do the following letters say? OPPORTUNITYISNOWHERE
Many people read “Opportunity is nowhere”. If that’s the way you see things, you are right. But you also might find “Opportunity is now here”. And you would be just as right. As much in life, what you see is likely to be what you get.
