Tidbits for Success: Our Surroundings

Over the years, one thing I have noticed is how we as human beings get tired of our surroundings. They become lackluster and common place and many times worn out. This is especially true in the dental field.

I have known so many dentists that have allowed their office to become worn down and dated, all the while the dentists passion for dentistry is waning. Many times the two go hand in hand….and many times they do not realize it is happening nor do they realize exactly what is causing the problems. Often resulting in a desire to retire when the value of their practice has greatly declined.

I have worked with dentists that are tired and swear that they want retirement. They will have us remodel their office prior to selling, only to take it off the market and go back to work once the work is complete, because they now love their updated office. Then they realize it was their surroundings that was dragging them down and making them feel like they needed to retire.

Did you know that simply updating your office (flooring, paint, and freshen up) can produce an 8-10% increase in revenue in the first year. While a major remodel or moving to a new office that better matches who you are  has the powerful result of a 34% increase in production for the next two years.
